You are more than what has happened to you.
Are you tired of feeling like you’re stuck and can’t move forward with your life?
Something happened. Maybe it was just one thing, or maybe it’s been many. Cognitively, you know it’s over, but you feel like a mess. You wake up every morning and it takes so much effort to just make it through the day. Your body doesn’t feel like “home” anymore — or maybe it never has. Those closest to you notice that you’re “moody,” “too sensitive,” “angry.” When you reach out to your friends, family, or even your partner, they say they get it, but you still feel so disconnected. Everyone else has moved on, so why can’t you?
Your trauma is in the past, but you carry the impact of it with you every day:
- You have a hard time feeling close to anyone because of how many times you’ve been let down
- You feel anxious around other people, like you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop
- You walk on eggshells and make yourself small to keep the peace with others
- Your emotions feel like a roller coaster — one minute you feel fine and then the next, you’re drowning
- You focus so much on what other people want that you don’t really know who you are

I often hear…
- “I know I’m not a bad person…but I feel like I am?”
- “I know it wasn’t my fault, but I should have done something differently.”
- “I know I was just a kid, but I should have known better.”
My approach to therapy is focused on helping the logical/thinking part of your brain connect to the deeper emotional/feeling part of your brain so that you can stop the war between them. Instead of just saying, “I didn’t cause this,” you can truly believe it and feel it in your body. I use somatic brain-body therapies like Brainspotting to help you tap into your brain’s natural healing processes so that we can heal trauma.
I’ll help through this process, tailoring each step to your unique needs and circumstances. My approach to treating trauma comes from a place of believing that it’s possible to live an authentic, fulfilling, and happy life…even if you’ve had to go through hell to get there.
