Getting Started
30 minute Zoom consultation
Developing a strong therapeutic alliance is one of the most important pieces of an intensive and I offer a free video consultation to ensure that I am a good match for you. After your consult is scheduled, we’ll meet so that I can learn a little bit about what you’re hoping to achieve with a therapy intensive and I’ll answer any questions you may have. If we decide to move forward, we will schedule your intensive. If I am not the right therapist for you, I can provide you with referrals to other therapists who may be a better fit.
New Client Paperwork
You will receive a link to complete the intake paperwork electronically through my electronic health record system, Sessions Health. Please complete the necessary paperwork at least a day prior to your Pre-Intensive Assessment so that your appointment runs smoothly. If you do not complete the paperwork prior to your appointment, we will have to reschedule for another time.
Pre-Intensive Assessment (via Zoom)
I use Zoom’s secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Prior to your appointment, you will receive a meeting link via email. We’ll meet for 90 minutes to talk about why you’re seeking an Intensive and your background history. At the end of the assessment, we’ll create your treatment plan and identify goals.
Intensive Day (via Zoom or in person at your location)
We’ll spend 3 hours (90 minute chunks) using Brainspotting to do a deep dive into your issue/concerns. Intensives days can be done via telehealth or in person at your location. Some of my clients have enjoyed treating their Intensive like a personal retreat and book a room at a nice hotel or schedule a massage after their session.
Post-Intensive Aftercare Session (via Zoom)
A few weeks after the Intensive, we’ll meet via Zoom to discuss your experience, progress you’ve noticed, and identify what comes next for you. We’ll put together an aftercare plan to help you continue working towards your treatment goals.
